Days of Noah 3_inspiration from HKICA

Luke 17:26-35

What are the lessons we learn from Noah.

Applying what you learn, truth applied that can make a difference, make an impact.

Noah = rest / comfrot (what Noah means in Hebrew)

Noah walked with God.......................

We must walk with God first!  Means we follow Him.  We will NOT miss out anything when we follow GOD!

When we follow God, sucess will follow you.

Gen 6:3
......His days would be 120 years.......  God is saying men's life is too long before Noah.  Noah's father lived 777 years.  Long life with wrong living, wickness increase.  To contain evil, God give them a short life.  Their life is so long for the wrong reason, for the wrong purpose.  It is not about the length of live but the depth of live.  It is about the impact that we will make.

We must be a full time Christian!  Not weekend, part time, some time Christian.

What is your vision?

If you're not choosing to spend regular time with God, then you're choosing to die spiritually.

A very good reminder indeed!!!

In many cultures, life is centered around food. Very few people in the western world would go for more than 10 or 12 hours without food or drink. Besides the fact that food is built into culture, doing so would make one very hungry.

Many people wouldn't dare going physically hungry; yet they starve themselves spiritually. If you ate food only once a week, you'd certainly die of starvation and malnutrition. Yet countless Christians do exactly that in their spiritual lives.

It is no wonder that Jesus called himself the bread of life (John 6:35). In order to grow spiritually, you must feed on spiritual food -- God's word.

Have the attitude found in Isaiah 26:8: Yes, Lord, walking in the way of your laws, we wait for you; your name and renown are the desire of our hearts. Make it your desire to know God better.

When you regularly spend time with God -- praying, seeking him, and studying his word -- you will thrive spiritually. Take some advice from the psalmist: Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always (Psalm 105:4).

Make time with God a priority in your live. If you made being well fed spiritually as important as be well fed physically, your relationship with God would thrive.

Ikebukuro day

Saturday 10 April, we went to Ikebukuro for shopping and gaming!

Japanese places are full of games, slot machine, arcades.  Surprisingly, they are not restricted to kids..  Many kids were at the horse betting machine....?!

Then Hun relunctly spent 500 yen on six rounds of toy picking machine...  which he was so sure I can't pick the toy I wanted with that 500 yen.  Guess what?  On the very last round, I got Chi-ku the chicken and the rabbit! ^___^

Now the toy is named Chi-ku, the purple eye tenden, mustash root fat lip chicken.  A bonus rabbit (wearing green prisoner shirt) was attached to one arm of the picker machine whilst getting Chi-ku...  haha.  David-san was surely surprise too!

It was a great fun first Ikebukuru day!

Noah's time

Noah's time is just like today.

Everyone go about their normal business, eating, drinking, doing business.... Luke 17:28

Gen 6:9
Heb 11:7

Noah was excited and become commited
Noah was passonate and become ...
Noah walked with God

Christians in the last day.  Pure church.  A church that walks with God will always be pure in life, in heart, in mind, in action, in every area...

Eph 5:27 - Pure church!
Rev 19:27 - For the wedding feast of the lamb and the bride prepared herself
Rev 21:9 - Show you the bride, the wife of the lamb, bride is awaiting for her bridegroom.

Matt 13: 24-43 - Parable of the weeds

Why did God ask Noah to build an Ark?  The ark is big!  So Noah will be spending most his time building.  People would have noticed the ark, and will be the talk of the town because it is so big and huge!  Big churches impact the community, in a way that others (smaller churches) cannot.

Are you ready to obey God?

Story about Mary, Martha and Lazarus.  Jesus asked Mary and Martha rolled the stone away, Jesus, a strong man can certainly roll the stone away, He can even roll away the stone with super-natural power....but Jesus asks them to roll the stone away before Lazarus is resurrected.

Mary and Martha, if you do the natural, God will do the super-natural.

You do the ordinary, God will do the extraordinary!

If you help yourself, God will help you!

But we have to roll away the stone first!!!

Are you going to do the ordinary, natrual for God?!  Pray that David and I would know what kind of Ark we are building / are going to build.  Pray that our faith is continued to be built up.

Praise the Lord!
